The hospitality room will remain poen all evening. Causal Dinner with a DJ on hand for your dancing pleasure. Our big memorabilia night in the hospitality room. Dig out whatever you have stashed away and bring it to show everone. For everyone that missed the chance totake part during our last two reunions, this is your opportunity to show your shipmates what a salty sailor you are/were. Yes, we will once more conduct our best looking old sailor contest, which well be judged by a panel of experts selected from those attending. It is a lot of fun and prizes will be awarded. Bring what you look best in (and can still fit into), dungarees, whites, blues, whatever. We should have plenty of laughs that night. 7:00 AM in the hospitality room. We will accept Saturday evening banquest table reservations on a first come, first pick basis from available selections. 8:00 AM We will hold our annual business meeting to report our financial status, elect new officers, and vote on the location of our 2002 reunion. Hopefully, we will have at least two locations with firm hotel proposals to select from and vote on at the reunion. A number of sites are currently under review. Grand Banquet. We will have a cash bar cocktail hour followed by a Memorial Service or our departed shipmates. The banquet dinner will then be served ater which we will have a guest speaker. After the guest peaker, we will put our dancing shoes on for the rest of the evening. Breakfast and Goodbyes til next year. We are proud to announce that we have another former Rowan Commanding Officer as the guest speaker at our Grand Banquet this year. He is Dr Loren Moore, Commaning Officer of the ROWAN, DD782, 1967/1969. Dr Moore has been a strong supporter of the RRA since it's beginning in 1995.We are honored to have him accept our invitation to be the guest speaker at this, our 6th reunion. Our hospitality room, as always, will remain open as long as possible every day and will be well stocked with liquid refreshments and snacks. It will have plenty of room to display memorabilia, so if you have any photographs, cruise books, souvenirs, etc. to show your shipmates, make sure you bring them with you. The hours for the hospitality room will really depand on how many volunteers we have who are willing to spend a couple of hours in the room guarding our refreshnents and memorabilia. Of course your RRA officers will be present most of the ime, but they will need occasional breaks. There will be a sign-up list posted, so if you would like to help, just sign your name next to the hours you will take the watch.
